As the VNEA Charter Holder in New Zealand, Massé will once again be sending a junior team to Erie, Pennsylvania in June 2017 to represent the Club and New Zealand at the 27th Annual VNEA World Junior Pool Championships being held at the Erie Bayfront Convention Center. This is a fantastic tournament that sees juniors competing in a number of individual and team events.
This year we’ve had great numbers in our junior 8 ball leagues including an influx of younger players in the under 14 age group, something that is great for the game in general. All of our junior players, and in particular our newer ones, have all benefited from the expertise of our Club coaches headed by Jimmy Henry and overseen by the New Zealand National Cue Sports Coach, Gary Gillard.
In total, our juniors played 1512 games pool in their leagues! From the results we were able to select our team where we will have representatives across all three age group divisions: under 21, under 18 and under 14.
